As founder and CEO, Nisan oversees all non-technical functions at Sociable Labs, including product management, business development, and finance. Prior to co-founding Sociable Labs, Nisan worked in venture capital at Sierra Ventures focusing on Internet investments. In all, Nisan brings over 10 years of technology expertise as a VC, management consultant and product manager. Nisan graduated with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from UC Berkeley. In his spare time, Nisan is a basketball player and an avid horse racing fan, having been to the Kentucky Derby each of the last 11 years.
Noah has founded, launched and grown dozens of high technology products and companies in 20 years of entrepreneurship and management of innovation. Noah most recently directed the enterprise product line for Google's geospatial products, Google Earth and Google Maps. Prior to Google, Noah managed the Marketing Strategy and Corporate Development functions at Keyhole, Inc., and was acquired by Google in 2004. Noah holds M.B.A. and B.A. Economics degrees, as well as certificates in Management of Technology and Global Management from University of California.
Brian joined Battery in 2004 and focuses on investments in ecommerce, online marketplaces and internet applications. During his tenure at Battery, he originated or led the investments in Bazaarvoice, Coupe, H.BLOOM, Insitu (acquired by Boeing), J. Hilburn, Peerflix (acquired by Live Universe), Serena & Lily, Skullcandy, TradeKing and World Golf Tour. He was one of the first at Battery driving seed investments and currently has two, FashionStake and Loosecubes, in his portfolio. He graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics..
As a Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Russell invests in consumer and energy related technologies and markets. Russell joined KPCB after seven years at Microsoft where he helped launch LAN Manager and the Microsoft Network (MSN). Under his direction, MSN was developed and launched and reached over one million paying members. Russell was also responsible for the formation of the Slate project, Microsoft's World Wide Web political and arts commentary. He earned his BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Physics in 1984 and an MBA from Harvard University where he was a Baker Scholar in 1989.
Vince Vannelli, founder and managing partner of KPG Ventures, has more than 20 years operational, technology sales and business development experience, including key leadership positions at several global technology companies. From 1997 to 2000, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Network Products Division of Inktomi Corporation. Vince currently serves on the Board of Directors of Brightroll, Clipsync, Doppelganger, Sociable Labs, Sportgenic (formerly Active Athlete Media), TuneUp Media and Webgang. Vince holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering, both from Stanford University.
